Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG)
What it is?
The RSG (also known as Responsible Conduct of Gambling) is a legal requirement for workers involved in gaming operations (like pokies or casinos).
Why it’s needed?
It ensures you understand gambling laws, harm minimisation, and responsible practices when working in gaming environments.
How to obtain it?
- Complete an approved RSG course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in your state.
- The training can be online and takes about 4–5 hours.
- You’ll receive an accredited Statement of Attainment (SITHGAM022 or equivalent).
How to renew it?
RSG certificates typically do not expire, but like RSA, you may need a new one if working interstate.
How to upload it to MyGig?
- Open Profile → Documents & Certifications.
- Click Upload certification → Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG).
- Upload a PDF or photo of your valid certificate.
